Sunshine
yes, we have glorious sunshine outside again:) And would you believe it, instead of me being able to spend the day outside I'm having to spend most of it in the house .. why .. because we have a house viewing today! I have swept, dusted, cleaned and hoovered upstairs, the living room is also basically done, I just need a quick sweep of the floor and a quick dust, but I have the whole of the kitchen to do yet .. yuk!!! I hate cleaning the kitchen .. well okay not exactly the kitchen, I hate cleaning the kitchen floor:( Quarry tiles with 3 cats and 2 children isn't a great idea!

Gosh he's getting so grown up, he's even decided that he would like it high lighted!! E on the other hand hates having her hair cut (I think she takes over her mum;)), but we managed to get it trimmed and then of course she started going on about having her hair coloured too, she would like pink (of course) highlights.

Scrap Your Day!
Well as part of the UKS 5th Cyber Crop, Shimelle set a class which was Scrap Your Day -the idea is that on the same day every month you scrap your day. I thought it sounded like fun and although I wasn't quick enough off the mark to get one of the kits that Shimelle has produced, I decided to join in but do my own book. Well all I needed was cardstock and my trusty blue BIA and I was off.
I took a couple of photo's on Friday, but not many as I was at work, but I managed to get what I wanted to go in my first DLO. I still need to complete my journalling but will get my butt into gear and get that sorted and of course I shall be uploading the photo's of my pages on my blog .. look out in the next couple of days.

Mini Books
I've been using my BIA and have joined in a couple of swaps on UKScrappers. The first swap with a BIA project, and I chose to do a mini book.

Here are mine that I made. This is my 1st one, well its actually my 2nd one, because the first one that I did and sent I wasn't happy with, so I did another one.
The 2nd swap was a Summer Mini Book. I used some junkiz papers, and kept the theme throughout to red, blue and green. I really loved this book, and I'm hoping the UKScrapper who receives it also likes it, but I've yet to find out who has received mine.
I received a gorgeous book in return from Annette (Voodoo Vixen) its totally gorgeous, and Annette really seems to be the "queen" of the BIA mini book, her creations really are works of art. The colour theme is gorgeous (and its the childrens favourite colours (DS is green, while DD is pink) and I can't wait until the summer when I can take some photos and use it.

First post of 2008 ...
ooops, I'm ashamed to say I haven't blogged in a couple, but hey I'm back! Not that I have an awful lot to tell you. Christmas came and went in a blur, everyone seemed to enjoyed themselves and I finally got Christmas evening off work. My first Christmas evening in 4 years that I didn't have to work, shame it doesn't work out like that this year, but atleast I get Christmas Eve off this year. Well that's if I'm still at the hospital, don't get me wrong I do love working at the hospital but you know working part time and evenings on a shift rota has it pro's and con's. The main pro of all this, is that I don't have to worry about childcare during the school holidays and if one of the children is sick or gets sent home or school is closed for some bizarre reason. But it would be nice to work "normal" hours and be able to spend time as a family during the evenings and weekends. I tend to miss half of the evening school/beavers/cubs activities because of working.
Right .. I was going to type up some more but my lovely new toy the "Bind It All" has just arrived and I'm dying to have a play with it ... so I'm off! Promise to catch up within the next couple of days.

Arggg, my washing machine ..
.. has broken:( It will wash, but it won't do the final rinse or spin:( Not exactly the kind of expense that you need at Christmas, but for us a washing machine is a necessity! So, yesterday we went searching the web to see what we could fine with the best deal. I wasn't so bothered with the price, well DH is paying afterall, it was more of the delivery date that appealed to me. So one has been ordered, but I'm not going to say when its due to be delivered because I'll tempt fate and the thing will get cancelled. But I shall be visiting the laundrette this week!
Well I can't believe that Christmas is less than a month away now, luckily though we are almost done now. I still need to get the cards written and the presents wrapped and of course there's the terrible food shopping to get done! I can't believe how busy the supermarkets and shopping malls haven't gotten over the past couple of weeks. But all but my mum's presents have been purchased. We've been trying to source my mums gift, which we'll do this weekend.
Saturday will be the start of Shimelle's Journal Christmas. Its a series of prompts over the festive period. I joined back in 2004, and as the membership is continuous then I'll start getting the prompts again. I'm hopeing that I will actually complete the full journal this year, as previous years I've not managed it. Still this year I'm prepared and have gotten all my Christmas papers and embellishments in one place. My only problem is I'm not sure what size to do my journal in!!

The tooth fairy
has been visiting our house lots this past week. E's front top teeth has been wobbly for awhile, one since she took a nasty tumble in July in the back garden. We only visited the dentist in the October half term and she did tell me it wouldn't be long until they came out. I have to admit I did have a helping hand in both of them, but one even more so than the other. Obviously with moving we decided that we really needed to take to trampoline down in the back garden, so E and I decided that we would have a last bounce before it came down. I'm sure you can imagine what happened, and I did tell her that we had to be careful because of her wobbly teeth. Anyway we were bouncing and somehow one of her teeth bounced out too!!! The biggest shock was it wasn't the tooth I thought would come out first and there was so much blood! That was on the Sunday. Then Tuesday she wasn't eating her breakfast, so I had a little shout at her, went out of the kitchen and she came running up to me with a bloody tissue and a tooth that was attached by a thread .. which I suggested that I pull out. She was very brave and let me pull her tooth out. I managed to grab a quick photo of her with her missing teeth!
She wasn't the only one to lose a tooth though, J lost another one of his too on Saturday.
Bonfires
well we had 2 parties to go too. DH spent most of Saturday 3rd November down at the school, building the bonfire for the evenings partie and display. He was also down there early in the evening, along with J. Unfortunely E was ill, so we stayed in, but I was able to watch them out of the lounge window. E on the other hand lay down and went to sleep. Then on bonfire night we went over to Coventry for a family bonfire night. Managed to get a couple of photos of the children with sparklers.
Its been ..
almost 2 months since I last updated my blog. I can't believe it, where has the time gone!!! I don't have any real excuse apart from we lost internet connection for a little bit, but now both computers are back online so I don't really have an excuse.
So what has been happening lately here in Warwick.
Well we finally put our house up for sale, they came and put the sign up last week, and to be honest I felt quite emotional when I saw them banging the post into the ground. This is my first real "family" home, in that I mean "my family" that I've created along with my hubby. We've been here for 12 years now, and in that time have been engaged, married and produced 2 wonderful children. But the time has come for us to finally move on to somewhere bigger. We had the details sent to us last week, but we weren't quite sure about some of the photo's they had taken, so I've gone and re-taken them. We've also gone mad and totally decluttered everything, alot has gone to the tip or to charity shops, there are so many toys that the children have outgrown! I don't think the house has ever been so tidy!
I also suffered a bout of shingles, my first and I hope only bout! It wasn't nice, and it really knocked me for six. Seemed to take me quite a while to get over it, I was so tired for a good few weeks after the spots etc had gone!
Started our Christmas shopping too, although I'm not sure what we're going to get E yet? DH has been sorted as he wants a XBox, J wants a laptop and I've got a new lense for my camera. Yeh ... I now have a 55-200 VR lense with a UV filter, although they have both been tried and tested, they are now put away! We're stuck with E though, obviously with moving we're trying to watch what we are buying as we don't want to clutter the place up! She really wants a dog, so we're looking at Lexie or the Puppy Grows and Knows Your Name, and she's desperate for a scooter too, although it must have 3 wheels.
